Meghan Markle has shown her true colours in a rare interview with a huge US publication. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, invited The New York Times to her Montecito home in California a week before the launch of her brand As Ever’s products, which took place on Wednesday. During the interview, Meghan appeared “upbeat” and “charming” as reported by the publication, however there seemed to be one thing that was bothering her.
The journalist said Meghan appeared bothered by some of the public’s negatives opinions of her - and seemed especially “bothered” by claims that she is “unrelatable and out of touch.”

These claims have been made by the public against the duchess over the last month following the release of her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” in March.
The series, which shows the duchess cooking and hosting for friends in a rented mansion, has been renewed for a second season, despite the fact some viewers felt it wasn’t relatable as a result of global problems being faced worldwide.
However, when this subject was brought up in the New York Times interview, Meghan reportedly replied: “Don’t they know my life hasn’t always been like this?”

Elsewhere in the interview, Meghan also hinted that her life is not as unrelatable as people may think, especially on busy days.
Talking to The New York Times, Meghan revealed that she sometimes cooks simple meals from the freezer for her two children, with the options usually consisting of chicken nuggets, tater tots or veggie burgers.
The interview was published on Wednesday just hours before the launch of Meghan’s As Ever products, which sold out in less than an hour.
Meghan said her heart was “full” after the sell-out, promising fans that this is just the start of her brand’s journey.
